I thought I knew who I was going to see prior to entering this show. I have been watching Tiff Stevenson perform for more than a decade, so why am I watching a ‘Karen’? Tiff expounds on the fact that some people seem to deride that thinking women like her, and refer to them using what has become a derogatory term; and why is there no male equivalent? She has an option. Oh so apt.

Tiff goes on to go through her wo years of self-discovery, touching on weight gain, a habit of being late for meetings, even Zoom meetings, self-diagnosis of her health conditions, Dragons Den pitches, parental acclimatisation of youngsters and the inequalities of reaction to indiscretions by men and women.

Other ports of call include having her mid-life crisis, destroying her partners romantic moments, hangovers, the correlation between waxing and grey squirrels, yeah really, and a trip to LA where she thought she may have done something terrible to fellow rooftop smokers.

Tiff is always a pleasure to see perform., always creating a show that addresses serious issues, yet is able with the undoubted skill and comedic talent in the armoury entertain and generate laughs while making one think simultaneously.
