Eddy MacKenzie and Liam Farrelly: Little and Large 3.5*** - One4Review

Eddy MacKenzie and Liam Farrelly: Little and Large 3.5***

| On 04, Aug 2023

To clarify, this is not Little and Large or any kind of comedic parody celebrating Sid Little and Eddie Large. This is a game of 2 very different Glaswegian halves. Held in The Stand Comedy Club 2, a very intimate and cosy venue, we were entertained for an hour by the boys.

Eddy Mackenzie starts off with much gusto, and his larger than life style soon has the audience onside with his witty musical repartee. His parents are clearly Jack Black and Ronnie Corbett, brought up in the posh part of Glasgow, he’s incredibly amiable and we are encouraged to sing along to his catchy tunes.

Liam Farrelly on the other hand performs a decent stand up routine and portrays a very different side to Glasgow. He’s from deepest, darkest Paisley and you want him on a night out with you and his pals, especially Sharkey! They sound dodgy and dangerous but they’ll look out for you. He’s a young dad and is going through some life changing experiences which are very funny.

Both of these guys are just really starting there comedy journey together, in fact they met last year at the BBC New Comedy Awards. Their shows are still a wee bit raw and need fine tuning, but nonetheless we all had a good time.
