The Travelling Sisters: - Toupé 5**** - One4Review

The Travelling Sisters are Lucy Fox, Laura Trenerry and Ell Sachs, three trained actors from Australia who decided that their talents, and they are multitudinous, were better served as a comedy sketch group. And who am I, or any of the good sized audience I was part of, to disagree.
They can sing, they can dance, the can be silly, they can be slick and throughout their hour they are always funny, bloody funny indeed.
Setting up with an original funny song about their origins, we get a whole selection of sketches, each one funnier than the one before. We have a communal changing room, a family country band, Lollypop Ladies have Talent, Irish Dancing, the re-creation of an art theft and quite a bit more. And then there was the finale, which was worth the ticket money on its own.
The Sisters travel the world showcasing their wares and I can see why they are so popular. They had everyone in stitches from the off, they we greeted with howls of laughter from everyone and … I just want to go and see them again.
The theme of this Fringe seems to be take a chance on something. Going to see this show was a punt, but I’m sure we hit the jackpot.
