Pollie, played by Issy Knowles is an attractive female determined to put herself at the top of the public tree, but what extremes will she go to and at what cost? As the audience enter you are given an item of clothing to wear, it is not mandatory to wear it but if you want to feel like an extra in the show then put it on!
There is a lot of money to be made nowadays through Podcasts and OnlyFans and Pollie wants a big slice of the pie. To thrust her career into the limelight she embarks on her most daring and controversial idea yet, to sleep with 1000 men, sound familiar?
With the assistance of her off screen director (Voice in the background), the show begins with Pollie stripping down to her bare essentials, well sort of. The show is set on a bed with fans attending to be one of the 1000. Throughout the simulated sexual encounters, Pollie meets a wide variety of suitors from geeky virgins to dark and disturbing characters, making you laugh one minute then feeling concerned the next, she also has several timeouts to reflect on memorable past encounters.
Although the subject matter is highly sensitive and thought-provoking, Knowles performance is extremely good as she portrays several different characters throughout the show providing different voices and accents along the way. It’s an energetic one-woman performance that packs a punch.
There is a lot of subtle comedy throughout the show but being able to perform realistic sex scenes in front of a sell-out show and maintain her professionalism throughout is an absolute credit to Knowles and should not be overlooked.
