Seven Quid Comedy Cabaret  - One4Review

Ok where on the Fringe can you get four top class comedians for £7? The seven quid comedy club at stand III . On the night I was in we had Jason Cook as compere having seen Jason’s show the day before it was good to see him warming up the audience and introducing guests rather than doing his thing. First on Dan Nightingale, new to me this Mancunian’s set was interesting. Particularly funny is his observations on the geography of Edinburgh. In particular that of it being built on hills noting that certain buildings you enter at street level go down numerous sets of stairs only to exit at street level. Secondly Wendy Wason, recently single again with two kids. Wendy concentrates on what she knows best, families and her rediscovered single situation. We have seen this lovely lady several times now and each time I see her she seems to grow from strength to strength. Finally top of the bill for the evening, the lovely Kevin Bridges. We were lucky enough to see this Glaswegian lad as he was just starting out on his comedy career, as with Wendy he progresses from show to show and both Geoff and I have great hopes for them both. I can’t quite pinpoint what it is, but I find his comedy exceptionally funny. Seven pounds for four good acts must be value in anyone’s purse. ****
