Catriona Knox Thinks She's Hard Enough 4**** - One4Review

Catriona Knox Thinks She’s Hard Enough 4****

| On 09, Aug 2014

I think that a one person sketch show or maybe character comedy is very difficult to get right, yet year after year Catriona Knox manages to succeed and then some.

This show relies heavily on her talent and also the successful selection of an audience member to assist a few times and the hour passes very quickly even given the sauna like conditions in the Pleasance attic.

We had a really posh TV chef, an American evangelist, a self-help guru, Nick Clegg and even live finger painting on offer as Miss Knox pulls out all the stops for the audience and showcasing her talents to great effect.

The writing is good, the characterisation excellent, the pace never flags and there are plenty of laughs along the way as well, what more could you ask for?

There are not too many top class female character comedians around, but Catriona Knox certainly is one and surely must be destined for bigger and better things soon.
