The Ice Wolf 4**** - One4Review

| On 04, Aug 2014

This is the simply enchanting tale of a young inuit girl who was born somewhat different to her friends and peers. This difference breeds fear and suspicion and eventually leads the girl to a life of isolation as the village she lives in is rich with legends and the appeasing of Gods. She is eventually driven out of her home following the dissappearance of her parents and seeks help from the Wood God in the forest which is forbidden for the Inuit people.

It is beautifully portrayed and very easy to watch and they achieve a great deal with limited props and costume, and we enjoyed it immensely.

The show would be better for the slightly older child as there is quite a lot to follow, but I would say 5/6 is a good starting block., as they should be able to keep up and not be frightened by some of the content.

The American High School Theatre Festival always produces a great show and this year is no exception, it’s always worth looking out for their projects.

Church Hill Theatre, 4,6,7 & 8th August.

Various times.
