Paul McCaffrey - Paul Or Nothing 4**** - One4Review
one4review | On 15, Aug 2014
Paul McCaffrey is a comic who has been around for a while now and is a regular headliner and has had many excursions to the small screen as well.
For a guy just turned 40 Paul still seems to have a lot of kid about him, but recently married, his opening salvo about the wedding suit set the ball rolling and it gained momentum as the show progressed.
McCaffrey has a whole hour stuffed through with delightfully written and well-presented set, and while not every story received the belly laugh he may have desired there were plenty that did hit the mark.
Paul has firm opinions on the BBC coverage of Glastonbury, Dolly Parton, friends in new-builds, drinking games, music and his cat’s use of modern technology all of which were well received but I suppose the section that generated more laughs was a certain night time habit he thought he had grown out of.
If you are unaware of the undoubted talents of this funny guy now is a perfect chance to find out about him as for me anyway it’s his strongest show I have seen to date.
