Stephen Bailey – Neon Heart 3*** - One4Review

Stephen Bailey has appeared on Big Brother’s bit on the side, the Wright Stuff and is a warm up act for Loose Women. He is a lovely, instantly likeable and funny man performing his debut solo show at the Edinburgh Fringe. Stephen is a flamboyant entertainer who wears his heart on his sleeve and appeals to both men and women of all ages.
His show is based around his relationships and his behaviour following a recent breakup from his partner Gary. He describes, in an amusing way, how with a broken heart one can sometimes act a bit irrationally and not always in a manner to be proud of. Most of the audience were able to relate to his stories with it striking a chord with some in particular who guffawed all the way through. He describes his childhood and relationship with his parents, his dad in particular in a humorous but touching way.
He has come to realise the importance of having balance in his life and has an impressive finale to demonstrate this. A great debut and I think we’ll be seeing a lot more of Stephen in the future.
