A beautifully told tale of friendship and change. This story has a clear ecological lesson which, on account of it being beautifully presented was lapped by the audience, old and young alike. The costumes were terrific, helping to illustrate the change of seasons, the dance was well choreographed and the cast executed their roles brilliantly.
The main characters, Fraxi, the ash tree who was queen of the forest, HB the somewhat persistent caterpillar and Woody the human act out a truly lovely and enjoyable tale which had us laughing, on edge and a little sad also. It is great to see a children’s show take on so many emotions and it is certainly a breath of fresh air to see such a thoughtful show brought to the younger audience as they are sometimes left out a bit in this area with things being dumbed down a little. This show did not do that and it was appreciated by the audience, children and parents alike. A great show and I am glad that we had a chance to see it.
