It’s not his fault that he was born a straight white male. Just circumstances beyond his control.
Born in a small town in rural Canada White tells of the narrow gene pool something that can cause prejudices be it homophobic, racist, misogynistic or even sizeist.
White examines the issues women have to endure on dating websites, abusive relationships and the like but opines that males can be in abusive relationships too, even if it is emotional abuse.
White is an amiable sort of chap with a big reputation in his native Canada and it is easy to see why. The hour is well paced and interesting whether he is asking questions of society, delivering anecdote of visits to gay bars, or getting a taxi and unintentional racism, White is a safe pair of hands.
The closing story of a film set meeting with an A lister is probably the one that gleaned the most laughter as I suppose it should, but all in all it was a good show throughout and I look forward to seeing him perform again.
