Sarah Callaghan: 24 4**** - One4Review

No she’s not copying Adele with naming her show after her age, it just happens to be how old she is. The show title came from a message from a friend with a link to change your life in 24 hours in 10 easy steps. It came through at exactly midnight so was obviously a sign and Sarah, lying in her freezing cold, single bed, was prepared to follow the advice.
With some background around her living arrangements, her misspent youth, family and her geezer, the confident performer starts her show. She takes us on a journey, loosely going through each of the 10 stages to a new life, with some fabulous observations along the way.
This girl hates surprises so she was not happy to have to get up at the crack of dawn and travel to St Pancras one cold, winter morning, dodging lorry drivers as she went. All because her geezer was taking her on a surprise trip. Sarah is an excellent story teller, giving just enough detail that you could almost be there. She shares her insecurities and victories giving her a very grounded, human touch. Her interaction and banter with the audience is also very good, the plain talking girl from Uxbridge keeps it very real. Just don’t flirt with her geezer.
