Jojo Sutherland and Susan Morrison – Fanny’s Ahoy 4****

There are more structured shows on the Fringe. There are introspective shows with deep messages. This purports to be nothing like that and it sure lives up to its billing.
Jojo Sutherland and Susan Morrison are self-styled Grande Dames of the Scottish Comedy scene are arguably two of the top comperes of club nights and when you set them together with a responsive audience boy does the humour flow free.
There is a board with topics on it but we only see a few of them dealt with as they are having just too much fun to fully delve into them all. The performers banter with each other, chat and intermingle with the audience and in what seems a completely spontaneous show, garner laughs from everything they touch upon.
There is something totally refreshing about this show. It hasn’t been written to an inch of its life, hell no, it was claimed they didn’t expect to be doing it, it just sorta happened which is what possible is a good overview here. But if you want a genuinely great time with laughs by the score then it is definitely one to see.
