Vladimir McTavish The State of Scotland 4**** - One4Review

Vladimir McTavish The State of Scotland 4****

| On 14, Aug 2017

Vladimir McTavish is a mainstay on the Scottish comedy scene over many a year and each Fringe he produces a ‘Scottish based hour’ of his weel tuned comedy and observations. That is not to say you have to be from North of the Border to appreciate his show, it is accessible to everybody.
McTavish is quite into his politics and as a proud Scot obviously has strong opinions on Indy Ref2, Tories in Scotland, Theresa May and of course the magic money tree for the DUP. The actor in McTavish emerges with his delightful characterisation of Rev. Ian Paisley the DUP founder.
But of course Scotland the country plays a large part, be it the lovely Isle of Arran, Glasgow and Edinburgh rivalry and differing crime rates, the wastelands of the central belt, all give stopping off points for Vladimir to showcase his observational comedy and biting wit.
Although all the posturing between Trump and North Korea currently is worrying, he is somewhat philosophical about the situation, and when he expounds his view, well it does make sense. Sorta.
Definitely an hour of comedy that shouldn’t be missed.
