I’ve found in previous years that Assembly Roxy put on excellent children’s shows, and this one is no exception. Last year theatre group Mouth of Lions put on an brilliant show, and this one is equally as good. Meet Ellie, a young girl who is on a mission to help her friend Stanley sneeze. As you can imagine, there are lots of sneezes, snots and silliness.

There are just three characters in this show, but they are all excellent. I think what is lovely about this show is that although there are lots of mucous related jokes, it is a heart warming story about a young girl helping an old and lonely man.

The story moves at a perfect pace, there are lots of belly laughs and I enjoyed it just as much as my six year old. Unlike many kids shows, there is no audience participation but I think that’s a good thing – its very much a sit back and enjoy kind of show.

This show is aimed at kids ages five and over, but I’d say even toddlers would be fine in this show. Overall a great piece of children’s theatre. A must see.
