Lucy Porter: – Pass it On 4****

| On 10, Aug 2018

Lucy Porter has become a Fringe institution over the years that she has been gracing Edinburgh in August. Why? It’s not a difficult question to answer. Ms Porter is a nice comedian, yet there is enough devil about her to make each offering interesting and packed full of laughs.

Playing the vast Pleasance Forth the sold out sign is normally found and has a hard core following all keen to hear her 2018 offering. As usual she covers a lot of ground with her subject matter visits to the GP, M&S jeans, corporate gigs, misogyny, the lack of ‘rock-star politicians’ today and with the passing of her parents recently wondering what legacy she will be leaving!!, even though to a lot of her crowd she is a mere spring chicken.

As is the norm her show is masterfully put together, the gags blend well with the anecdotal and observational material and her inclusion of several of her audience members adds the personal touch. This, allied to her nice, smiley, delivery style will leave one feeling that it is certainly money well spent attending her show. And if they don’t, well better not tell her, especially at the moment.
