According to Matt, there are only two sides to the political divide in Britain today, and if you are on the opposite side from Matt then you are clearly “f****ing mad”! And to be absolutely fair he makes a very good case, over the next hour, to make even the most ardent of Brexiteers question their sanity.

Matt Forde is a very polished professional performer. He is very funny and delivers some great punchlines but he is more of an exceptionally gifted orator than a stand up. His timing and delivery are second to none.

Matt takes aim at politicians from the left and from the right. David Davis is particularly singled out for his general incompetence and creative excuses for failing miserably to delivery anything even remotely like a deal on Brexit. Teresa May, Jeremy Corbyn, Damien Green, Dominic Raab, Jacob Rees-Mogg are all mocked mercilessly. Boris Johnson and Rees-Mogg providing perfect opportunity for some well honed and spot on impersonations.

Of course the world stage was also observed and dissected at length. The Trump, Kim Jong-un love affair, Trump Putin love affair and Trump’s love affair . . with himself! Brilliant send up and Trump impression but he really is the gift that keeps on giving.

Well aware of the nationality of the majority of his audience tonight, Matt tread particularly carefully when addressing the issue of Scottish Independence. Although basically saying if you are pro independence then you are “f***ing mad”!
