Sindu Vee:- Sandhog 4****

| On 04, Aug 2018

I found it odd that this is Ms Vee’s debut hour at the Fringe as she seemed to be all over the TV and Radio for a while and it certainly isn’t her fist Edinburgh excursion, so I was expecting quite a lot from her show. And I wasn’t disappointed.
Commanding her space Sindu wastes no time in getting into the swing of the things, a delightfully written and delivered performance, peppered with laugh out loud moments, touches of pathos and delightful misdirection thrown into the mix.
She majors on her kids, her husband and her parents, she loves them all but Boy are they occasionally hard work.
Being of Indian upbringing who is married to a laid back Dane there are numerous clashes in parenting style, well in any style really, you can see how competitive she is on occasions, and there is advice too, a perfect excuse about how to get out of anything is certainly one thing I’ll take away with me.
This is a totally professional show, has all the ingredients to be one of the hot tickets of 2018… well it would match the temperature in her venue, but don’t let that put you off. If you did you’d really miss out.
