Entry level is a term that is most associated as a thing that meets minimum requirements but there is nothing luxurious or has much quality about it. This can apply to objects, i.e. cars and computers and yet according to Zoe humans as well.
Playing to a packed to the rafters audience Ms Lyons references the room as qualifying the entry level tag, the rented flat definitely, even her own computer… and then there were some of the people she had encountered on her travels.
She had an hour that also dealt with noise on trains, assuming that they ran at all, picnic debris left on beaches, airports, Egyptian typos, coffee, the progression of living arrangements, scuba diving and managing expectations. A wide diversity of subjects for sure but all food and drink it seems to this highly talented comedian who had the room in gut-busting laughter form the onset, never giving up till her conclusion.
She has been at the Fringe a lot, but not every year unfortunately, so take this opportunity to see her while you have a chance, ‘cause Zoe Lyons is certainly not an entry level comic by any means and I’m sure you will never think of a common house fly the same way again either.
