Darius Davies: Persian of Interest 4**** - One4Review

The can be no question that Darius Davies has appeal. He has charm, he has stage presence and most importantly for his profession he has a wicked sense of humour, a fertile imagination and the will to entertain for his allotted time.
Aided throughout with AV, Davies is straight into his set, starting with his Anglo Iranian heritage, living at home in his 30s, and how to get the best of the likes of Amazon Prime Netflix and Spotify for the least outlay, a bit cheeky chappy yet highly entertaining and great icebreaking stuff for his enthusiastic audience.
The story he told about a previous show where a group of ‘visitors’ unjustifiably attempted to get him banned from performing was both shocking and alarming, yet he managed to find the funny and turn it into material of quality is a testament to the man. Then there is his social experiment on Twitter!
Fake news is another of his bugbears and he is pretty fired up about it and talks, and gags, at length about this and how easy it is for an individual to manufacture a story with the instant access to social media platforms we all have these days. The final section majors on him proving that this is so easily possible.
Davies is a class act and is a great entertainer, his hour should not be missed.
