Arthur Smith – My 75 Years at the Edinburgh Fringe 4.5**** - One4Review

Arthur Smith – My 75 Years at the Edinburgh Fringe 4.5****

| On 13, Aug 2022

There are a few candidates as to who is a Fringe legend, but to those of us who have been attending for years, okay not as many as he claims, then, Arthur Smith has to be up there and more.
This delightful show is a vey quick resume of the Fringe and his time there, although he freely admits that not everything he says should be classed as a fact.
Illustrated with AVs, poetry and three songs by Leonard Cohen, he did do two shows on him after all, Smith entertains one and all with the laidback attitude that he is renowned for, yet drawing as many laughs as anyone could require in an hour. We are remined of his involvement in Shakespeare, Dante, An Evening with Gary Lineker, Arthurs Seat, people he met, love affairs, arrests, I could go on, but I have only got so many words to write.
He says this will probably be his last in the Edinburgh Fringe, so you better get a ticket fast or you could the last chance to see him perform. Or maybe not, he did warn us that not everything in the show was a fact. Let’s hope this is one of the dodgy ones.
