Grant Busé is an Australian comedian, musician, actor and MC.

To be honest when I was first asked to review this show I had my doubts ,and preconceptions …. Guitar assisted musical comedy buy a blonde Streaked Ex neighbours star! Really!

The show is about nostalgia, In the first song it’s looking back through the 90s, this is accomplished by listing various songs and iconic events of the 90s.

I am not terribly impressed at this stage. However, from the second song the show improves at breakneck speed, Grant starts to interact with the audience, he wins us over with a combination of banter and amusing aside comments. the songs improve, the musical accompaniment improves, the audience is on his side. We get to hear of Grants upbringing in Brisbane and his own nostalgic family memories, his song about his favourite girl is very emotional and touching, which demonstrates the surprising sensitivity and range in his act . Grant now takes us on a detour to discuss overworked nostalgic songs, for this he needs audience participation which lands two audience members up on the stage.

All in all great entertainment, original, thoughtful, well-presented and neatly finished, just like his hair!

a lot of people are recommending this as a show to catch in 2022 I’m with them.
