Sometimes it’s easy to get caught up with the well known acts at the big venues and miss some excellent performances at the smaller venues, this show certainly falls into that category.

On arrival the cast were already on the stage to give everyone a warm and personal welcome before the show began. To begin with the background music sets the tone and almost puts you into a sedated trance which helps you clear your mind before the story of a chaotic day in the eyes of Brendan and Fran unfolds.

Brendan begins his story from the moment of his death and begins to rewind and unravel the events that lead up to his death. Frans day begins like any other normal persons day, she gets up, goes to work and after some notable events at work, goes home. The story jumps from Brendan to Fran and at one point accompanied by the background music, it’s almost like the battle of the mics scene from Eminems 9 mile. At some point during their journey their paths meet, they bounce off each other and continue on the path they have now been deflected on to.

Throughout Brendan’s journey, he battles with mental health and public perception, he jumps out his body to look back at himself and assess what he sees.

Frans journey has its own issues which takes a devastating path once she encounters Brendan.

From start to finish you connect with both their lives and the day they’re living. It’s a non stop back and forward performance that both deliver extremely well.
