Juliette Burton – No Brainer 4**** - One4Review

Juliette Burton – No Brainer 4****

| On 09, Aug 2023

I have seen Juliette Burton perform at the Fringe a number of times over the last decade and I have always found her both an entertaining and informative comedian and the 2023 return is well up to standard.

Juliette has always had a number of medical and mental health issues but she has soldiered through, talking of some on stage over the years and she is continuing the theme this year but doing something about aspects of her issues.

There is a lot to like about this show. Juliette is a very personable performer, and she engages well with her sold-out audience. There is also, a lot of scientific information illustrated by a lot of PowerPoint of the brain and how it works, some very technical as to reactions to things, a lot of her personal life history, a lot of interesting facts, a lot of Juliette herself, and of course a lot t of laughs woven throughout her hour.

In fact there was a lot of everything you may want from a show, perhaps slightly too much at times. Her delivery was crystal clear but it was at a very fast paced and sometimes it was difficult to keep up. Also the PowerPoint was difficult to see from anywhere apart from the front couple of rows.

It was good to see her in ‘a better place’  than sometimes previously. She is a performer who deserves to succeed. Why not give this a try?
