Jack Tucker: Comedy Stand-Up Hour 3*** - One4Review

Jack Tucker, Comedy Stand-Up Hour is an absolute riot. No seriously, it’s a petrol fuelled fire-bomb of a show, full of chaos and anarchy, I actually expected the police to arrive any second and break it up!
Tucker has amassed a massive cult following with his antics all over social media, and the audience were in full fan-mode, screaming along to his on-stage nonsense and clown antics.
Is he playing a character or is he being his true self, I couldn’t work it out. The total confusion on stage is exhausting with sound effects accompanying pretty much every single move and expletives he utters with his own New York charm.
I found the repetitiousness and clowning around quite annoying at times, but the baying crowd lapped it up. His dishevelled appearance added to the general lack of effort in this more than 90 minute free for all.
You’ve got to hand it to him, he knows how to play to the crowd and his entourage were particularly amusing, especially when chasing audience members who needed to leave to relieve themselves during this mad-cap monstrosity. There’s not a massive amount of content in this performance, it was almost like a two-fingered salute to The Fringe and all the acts who have put on exceptional shows in half the time.
I left the show having enjoyed parts but also feeling he wasted a massive amount of my time. But the audience loved him, check him out, and see what you think.
