You may recognise Laura from TV shows such as Live at the Apollo and the Jonathon Ross Show amongst others.

Laura brings her show to Edinburgh with a beaming smile and ponders what makes her think she is indeed Living her Best Life. She questions what things should be better than they actually are. For example, holidays – surely an induced coma is more relaxing?

This ex English teacher from a Catholic All Girls school in East London has the audience in stitches as she regales us with her unique and relatable quips about the gentrification of parenting – wildly different to the old school beatings of the 80s and 90s! Workplace bitching, body positivity and why the mirror lies to us when all we want is a good photo also feature in this hour-long show. A highlight for me was when Laura wonders if her husband’s fur lined crocs are the root cause of a lubrication related problem…

Loved the decent gentle-ish interaction with the front rows – although I feel Laura would have benefitted from more to work with than a gaggle of yummy mummies and a startled Fifer. Let’s hope Friday night’s crowd bring some big energy!
