Lorraine Hoodless – Good Girl 3 ½ *** - One4Review
one4review | On 18, Aug 2025
Lorraine Hoodless has been performing for a few years during the Fringe and I have enjoyed her shows in a less-than-ideal room.
She is back and in a better, more central space this year and the show I attended was pretty full.
Ever smiling Lorraine hit the stage chatting with the occasionally over enthusiastic crowd, and stating she is a good girl and on previous evidence it would have been hard to disagree.
As always, she has a set that is packed with material, there are jokes a plenty and with her pleasant, non-confrontational style entertains throughout.
She talks about, her life, her ancestry, her relationship, billionaires, one of whom she used to work, for and of course her dog.
This is a nice show, I feel the audiences over interaction maybe could have been dealt with better, and although there was some genuinely funny material offered, maybe was rather light of belly laughs throughout.
For a pleasant hour, in the company of a nice, good comedian then there are loads of worse places you could go so why not give Lorraine’s show a try.
As part of the PBH Free Fringe, entry is fee, but not to get out. She has to live and feed her dog after all.
