Isabelle Georges makes a welcome return to the Fringe with her tribute to musical theatre in song, dance and sketches. She is a classy performer blessed with a compelling stage presence. On her musical journey looking back over decades of wonderful songs, she is backed by a four piece band led by Frederik Steenbrink (piano and vocals).

Spread through the show are short humorous sketches where she and members of the band gently argue as to who is the greatest singer or composer. Thus, is it Judy Garland or Gene Kelly or George Gershwin? These are only a selection of the iconic names considered. This approach provides the springboard to perform a bundle of songs such as Over the Rainbow and Singing in the Rain. Frederik Steenbrink is given a share of the limelight and he gives a powerful version of Ol Man River.

Her finale is a gem, giving I Got Rhythm the full up tempo song and dance treatment. For those who appreciate the melodies and lyrics of the musical, this show will provide 70 minutes of superb entertainment.
