Excellent direction and choreography make what could easily be quite an average show a beautifully done and engaging piece of musical/physical theatre.

As is the norm with RCS shows, the singing and performances are spot on and the little touches create a lot of detail. Whilst you won’t go out humming any tunes, the music is lovely with delicate harmonies and highly appropriate for the piece, all played very nicely by the small orchestra.

The venue too is ideal for this show, although naturally a bit noisy with the wind and sightlines aren’t great from the back (you miss a fair bit of action on the floor).

A delightful production, highly recommended and different to the same old same old.
