Alex Edelman - Millennial 5***** - One4Review

Every now and then I get a feeling that I am witnessing a precious talent that is destined for the very top. This was one of these occasions.
Edelman is New York based twenty something comic who is blessed with a wicked sense of humour a pleasing delivery style and stage presence a plenty, and although he plays a lot on being Millennial this does not preclude older guys like me in any way.
Edelman is a well-educated guy, well he has spent enough and then some to get his degree and plays the room as if a veteran of many years. The show centres about a test he recently took and he dissects his results with the precision of a comedic surgeon, grabbing laughs as easily as breathing.
He has stories a plenty, coming out at Thanksgiving, his Jewish ethnicity, a lady with a 9/11 ‘tramp stamp’ tattoo, arguments with a cupcake seller, other peoples break ups in a coffee shop, Obama and Neil Armstrong all give scope for this compelling guy to make us laugh, and occasionally gasp about but there is plenty more.
Edelman is inevitably going to be going places and fast. And to think you could boast about seeing him in a sweatbox this year. Get there and fast.
