Mark Nelson is a name on the Scottish Comedy scene, and has been for quite a while and it is good to see him playing in the prime slots at a major venue in 2014.

Nelson plays heavily but not exclusively on his Scottish heritage and in this year of referendum and Commonwealth games north of the Border it did give him a lot of subject matter to showcase his excellent writing and performance skills.

But Nelson is also a family man so the family life, housing, his poor DIY skills and baby cinema also provide a few of the subjects for him to flex his comedy muscles and expound on. It would be an accurate assessment that Nelson is not the most dynamic performer, no prowling or skipping about the place for him, just a solid hour of quality comedy for a man definitely destined for the top.

While there may still be some debate in respect to the Referendum there is no need to call for a vote on him just beat a path to the ticket box.
