Seymour Mace’s Magical Sh*tcakes from Heaven 4**** - One4Review

Seymour Mace’s Magical Sh*tcakes from Heaven 4****

| On 08, Aug 2017

Whatever you think a Fringe show should be like then maybe think again when attending any by Seymour Mace. The extremely funny Geordie doesn’t play by any rules except his own, and he has got down how to appeal to the absurdity and childlike qualities inherent in every one of us.
It is no secret that he suffers from depression and often has time on his hands, but he had a fertile comedy imagination and a style of presentation that works oh so well.
The stage is busy with mostly self-made props, he has AV links, daft costumes, audience participation and games. He also creates a tableau of a meeting in the early life of the Beatles, portrays his heroes, you name it he’s there! From his arrival dressed as a chicken, interpretive dance break, songs, parodies of self-help books, right through to the finale which just has to be witnessed, the hour passes oh so quickly and the laughter flows freely from everyone throughout.
I don’t think there is any other comic who could create such a show, but every year he manages to produce yet another one and long may he go on doing this in my opinion.
