Chris Forbes is probably best known in Scotland for TV appearances in the mock docu-soap Scots Squad, but his day job is that of a stand-up comedian. He has returned to the Fringe armed with his latest offering.
This is a story related by Forbes and interspersed with an interview recorded with a homeless busker he encountered while walking in central Glasgow on several occassions with what seems to be a one song repertoire and a strange musical instrument of choice. On speaking to him Forbes became intrigued and subsequently recorded an interview with the homeless man who claimed to be the Son of God.
The hour is filled with Forbes playing soundbites of the interview while explaining his thinking during the process, illustrated with animations in AV form.
This was an intriguing hour, okay not gag filled, but there were quite a few laughs along the way. I am sure there will be loads of post-show discussions about this performance so the word of mouth will certainly spread the word.
