Abigoliah Schamaun:- Do You Know Who I Think I Am?! 4**** - One4Review

If you ran into Abiloliah Schamaun it would be fair to say that she would be hard not to notice. She has her own unique look, pink hair and tattoos are just part of it, but that isn’t all that she is about. No way! She is on stage a thoroughly entertaining comedian, she writes funny and well-structured material, tells occasionally outrageous jokes and commands her room with this and enough personality and purpose for two performers.
Abigoliah was born and raised in the Mid-West of the USA yet has lived in London for 6 years now, opened with stories as how this year’s show nearly didn’t happen, a day trip to Holland for a festival gig, warm up for the Edinburgh run, a little about growing up, autoerotic asphyxiation and waxing. And she was gonna talk about it.
There is her take on gun crime and the call to limit gun ownership, her relationship, yoga teaching and life as a female comedian. All the material draws belly laughs yet it is not just a gag fest, the astute comedy is well thought out and delivered as only she can.
As mentioned it would be hard to ignore Ms Schamaun, but why would you want too. She is a tour-de-force and should not be missed.
