It’s been a couple of years since Felicity Ward has been at the Fringe far too long as her fans are concerned, but she is back and then some with the latest offering Busting a Nut
I suppose she had an excuse, she did get married and the event and post wedding living arrangements give her plenty of scope to get more of her immaculately written and delightfully performed material. The laughs were long and hard, I actually feared for the health of a few of the packed out audience they were laughing so hard.
The stories flow from one topic to another, whispered arguments, over feeding in laws and their shopping habits, a holiday in Italy with her mother and her idiosyncrasies, red lipstick, pedicures, wedding ceremony music, hot yoga and throwing emotional grenades into her relationship are just a few subjects she shares her funny thoughts about.
Ms Ward is a live wire performer, she is never still, and speaking at a rate of knots one has to pay attention to what she is saying, ‘cause you don’t want to miss the comedy gems that free flow from her mouth.
The sold out signs are the norm for her shows, so you better be quick and hope you are in time to get your ticket.
