Ellie Taylor arrives on stage and immediately engages the audience with her enthusiasm. Announcing that this is her first audience at the Fringe where they have actually paid money to see her. Having previously only played the Free Fringe.

She begins her set with the usual audience “What’s your name, where are you from, what do you do” interaction. All of which she handles with charm and wit.

We are taken through the various topics closest to her heart; being a married and childless woman in her thirties, Australian in laws and her unique approach to being a (sort of!) feminist.

She handles each topic with charm, wit and self mockery. Without alienating the males in the room, and from her own experiences, we are taken through female intimate grooming to contraception from very much a woman’s point of view.

There are many laugh out loud moments and it’s easy to see how Ellie Taylor has progressed in a short space of time from the Free Fringe in 2014 to numerous TV appearances including a Live At the Apollo spot. Bigger audiences and more high profile TV shows beckon.
