Alice Brine is doing her first ever Edinburgh hour, although comes with a huge reputation and following earned in her native New Zealand.

Alice has a larger than life personality, and from her entrance to the sold out room to the finish it was impossible to ignore her, why would you want to?

The subject matter of the performance is her ADHD and what it is like to live with the condition, and after some overt flirting with an audience member or two launched into categorising people into two types expounding on the different characteristics of each, drawing laughter throughout the set.

Her one time addiction to Facebook pages and the gullible people who follow them, illustrated with slides was one of the highlights, but for me the way she and a friend dealt with a cheating ex stole the show.

Alice Brine maybe a new name to the UK but I thoroughly expect it to be a completely different situation before too long. She expressed surprise to be sold out on the third show. I think she better get used to it …and fast!!
