Anthony Devito: My Dad isn't Danny Devito 4**** - One4Review

New York stand-up Anthony DeVito makes his Fringe debut at Just The Tonic at the Mash House. This fast talking American keeps us entertained by telling us stories about growing up in a 3 generation household of Italian American women following his fathers death.
He never got to know his dad as he died when Anthony was only 7 months of age, however he has endless material to use being brought up by his mom, auntie, grandma and great grandma.
Anthony paints a picture of who his dad might have been, the man his mother would never talk about,, however his world is shattered when he finds out the truth and has to come to terms with a new reality.
His childhood has an impact on his relationships in adulthood, primarily because he takes advise on how to chat up girls from his grandma!
This show is about relationships we have had and some we should have had, it’s how he manages to spend time with his dad. He serves up a pretty decent show to be fair and I enjoyed hearing his tales from New York. Definitely worth checking out, even if it’s to find out who his auntie went on a date with!
