Robin Grainger – Robin Time 4**** - One4Review

There are over 1300 comedy shows in Fringe 2022 according to the Edinburgh Fringe website all of which are battling for an audience. No matter how good the show it a difficult process occasionally, some time you just need that bit of luck. And then things happen.
Robin explains how his opening night he played to an audient of one, Mike from Leicester, but gave his all as always, Mike loved it, and so did a reviewer of renown, who caught part of it, spoke to Mike and tweeted the story. It went viral, National broadsheets picked up on the event,so did TV and radio both home and abroad, interviews and so on followed. And so did the paying public. It became a hot ticket
Robin Grainger has always been a solid comedian with something to say and says it in a manner that appeals to most, and this, his latest Edinburgh is another good creation, one that may have been missed by many if it wasn’t for that slice of luck.
Obviously, Robin has now integrated the story into his show, but there obviously is more. He recalls, play castings at school, the pandemic situation, temporary jobs during lockdown, posh people on a bus, power of lanyards, visits to Lush, and Waffle, his much-adored dog, produce source material for him to entertain his now full houses. There maybe a few tickets left in the run, try and get one if you can.
