One never can be quite sure what sort of surrealist, funny, and engaging show this amiable Geordie is going to offer at each Fringe but one thing for sure it ain’t going to be an hour of ordinary stand -up. Also it is always refreshing and an absolute must to start off the Fringe day.
Never conventional, Mace bounds onto his stage, gets the house lights turned up as he wants to see us as much as we want to see him.
A little piece of warm up as if this was necessary given the 27 degree temperature outside and we were into the meat of the show. Mace gets the audience to right down questions that he will endeavour to answer during the show, these being drawn out of the box at random, he does also have a few he has written himself and a list or two to read out. Not a single prop in site!! Well, that was different for him, but then what is normal for Seymour?
The hour passes very quickly, the laughs flow thick and fast as he riffs his answers and all too soon we are out into the sunshine, everyone with a smile on their face.
