Champagne Cabaret - One4Review

Champagne Cabaret

The three girls forming OzCabaret pour your sparkling wines then return to the stage to give a pleasing hour of relaxing entertainment.

The entertainment they provide is by way of toasting, song and short monologues. They aren’t miked up as they perform a varied collection of songs, their strength being when they sing in harmony. I particularly enjoyed their version of Queen’s ‘Killer Queen’. The monologues vary from the racy to the poignant.

We were treated to a selection from all round the globe – Australia, France, Italy and Chile. Even one called Braes o’Gowrie. On the tables were the precise details of the wines we were served. Each wine was linked to a question. For instance, the Pinot Noir Chardonnay had the question ‘If this sparkling wine were a lover, describe its personality.’ The girls gave some possible answers.

It is a stop/start kind of show but the hour passed away in what seemed no time at all. As for the wines, I enjoyed them all. Thus, I have to confess to breaking a self-imposed rule of not drinking alcohol during a show, but on this occasion it was in the line of duty.
