Gareth Morinan Is Playing the Numbers Game - One4Review

This show started with a lot of promise, but ended up on the other side of surreal and didn’t manage to take the audience with it. Nominally, this show is about dating, relevant data and the visualisations which can be made from them (including graphs and Venn diagrams). It involves lots of audience participation (you won’t even be safe at the back).
If comedy doesn’t work out, Mr Morinan could take up a career teaching people (lecturers would be a good start) how to use slide shows properly; this was exemplary with use of holding screens, no single thing up for too long and clear and simple information. Problematic was the material linking these images: not all of the detours and non sequiturs worked, and Gareth himself didn’t seem to believe in them, or some of his material.
It’s a free show; you’re invited to pay what you think at the end.
