Gabby Best: 10,432 Sheep 4**** - One4Review

From her Hollywood entrance, right through the end, and unto the bucket speech, this was a delightful quirk of a show. It’s about Ms Best’s insomnia, and how she thought her life would be by the time she was this age, two subjects which are mines of comedy gold.
It’s a gentle sort of show, engaging from start to finish, never lagging or lulled. There was comedy to make you groan, clever laughs, some darker stuff, musical accompaniment, a plethora of stories and anecdotes, and the phrase ‘Achilles’ feels’, which is utterly brilliant, evocative, and should become a thing. Ms Best has nice line in descriptive analogies, demonstrated particularly well in her comparison of mindfulness and CBT.
The technical bits of the show – the structure, delivery, performance, confidence, and commitment – were all spot-on; enhancing, not distracting. Lastly, Ms Best should not lose confidence in her jacket; it’s lovely.
