Shappi Khorsandi: Skittish Warrior... Confessions of a Club Comic 4**** - One4Review

Shappi Khorsandi: Skittish Warrior… Confessions of a Club Comic 4****

| On 07, Aug 2019

Shappi Khorsandi seems to have been a stalwart of the comedy world for ages and it is always good to see her back in Edinburgh, even if it is only for a part run, as the finale of her tour.

As one may imagine the show is well bedded in and the packed out Stand One audience were treated to an excellent, all too short for most, showcase of all that is good from this top class performer.

For those who hadn’t seen her live before there was a concise tour of her early life, her parents, ethnicity, education and early forays into the world of comedy, each segment told in with utmost clarity and of course peppered with laugh-out-loud moments throughout.

Of course she has made a name for herself Live at the Apollo followed, and invites to parties ensued. A launch party faux pas, attracting the attention of a certain rapper, her lack of ability to schmooze, TV commercials and of course her time in I’m a Celebrity… gave rise to even more quality material.

Ms Khorsandi seemed to be having fun with the gig, almost as much fun as the audience were having and that was absolutely loads.
