Fantastically Great Women Who Changed The World – 5*****

| On 17, Aug 2022

The action begins when 4 teachers burst onto the stage singing a song full of yearning for a classful of quiet children. We are on a museum trip and chaos reigns. After the teachers depart the stage, we are left with Jade, a young girl who doubts they will even notice that she is missing. Her whole life is spent doing the right thing and trying not to stand out or be in trouble, so she feels lost in life as well as in the museum. She then steps through a portrait into a world of inspirational women such as Amelia Earhart, Emmeline Pankhurst and Rosa Parks, who each advise her how to find her place in the world.

What an inspiring musical this is! I would recommend anyone with young daughters to go to see this show as the central message is strong. All the songs and choreography are excellent and the cast and musicians are extremely accomplished performers. The Frida Khalo number was especially eye catching but it’s hard to choose a favourite. With its positive message for women and exuberant musical numbers, this is a must see show for all the family.
