Geoff Norcott - Basic Bloke 5***** - One4Review

If you get a chance to go and see Geoff Norcott being a Basic Bloke, I’d highly recommend it before the Fringe runs out.
It really is a terrific show and although it may be on a little early, 5.20 at the Underbelly Fresian Room, apparently this is not to deliberately cater for his aging fans!
Geoff has performed all over the world and was recently surprised and how well he’s been received in Scandinavia! He does make a very valid point in that most countries can speak English and in fact we are a lazy nation when it comes to learning a new language.
It’s not all bright lights and glitter for stand up comedians and he tells us of the dark side of living a Budget Hotel Life.
There’s a fair bit of politics thrown in for good measure, and he should consider running as an MP, although his policy for the elderly who won’t die or work might not prove too popular.
In fact Geoff covers a fair bit of content in this hour long show and it’s absolutely brilliant. He may be a Basic Bloke, but this show is way beyond that!
