What all the Rabbits are Doing - One4Review

This highly regarded play by Zoe Hinks is set in an indeterminate period, probably the future, but with the prisons full even violent criminals are being treated using experimental methods of punishment are being employed under the watchful gaze of ever alert guards and scientists. Raymond, played by Andrei Alen., is one such violent sex criminal and part of his rehabilitation is to attend life art classes. His muse, Marianna, portrayed by Zoe Hinks, also is under observation and restraints, but if this is her punishment we are left wondering. As time progresses, it is obvious that the relationship between these two has moved on from model artist and a mutual attraction leads to tragic ends. This play has everything you could want, edgy writing, good acting, multi-media inserts, fine direction and enough sub-plots to keep everyone’s mind active. I have already mentioned the two main players, but a supporting cast of Rachel Boulton, Eleana Saorin, Tomas Loftus, S J Chandler, Simon Burbage, H Reeves, Roger Deller and Mandy Soloman playing a selection of roles such as snipers guards, scientists and even a pathologist complete the lineup. The directing team of  Tomas Loftus, Rachel Boulton and the creator Ms Hinks have done an equally fine job. I thoroughly enjoyed this play and recommend that if you want some different fare this Fringe check it out, but beware there is nudity throughout. ****
