Michael McIntyre  - One4Review

For the uninitiated, and I don’t suppose that there are now many, Michael McIntyre’s career has taken off like a rocket in the last couple of years including a performance on the Royal Variety Performance in his locker. I first saw him some years ago and noted his potential and spoke of his future to my team. I am so pleased that I was correct. It is now officially day two of the Fringe and his show is already sold out for the entire run, but the is a rumour of extra dates being added. McIntyre is now a phenomenon. Taking to the stage gathering up his audience as one and transporting them wherever his mind and wit led him. Starting off with topical Scottish based subjects the much despised Edinburgh tramways in particular and the ‘ugly parliament’ moving on to his stint on Big Brothers Big Mouth and the overtly camp Denis, we are led through the birth of his second child, playgroups holidays house moves and Argos as a selection of the subjects he was keen to wax lyrical about. Like all major comics, McIntyre flowed through his hour as if it was just 5 minutes, smoothly moving on with exceptionally funny material, for the duration and leaving the audience literally baying for more. *****
