Bright Club: Scotland's Fringe - One4Review

Bright Club: Scotland’s Fringe

My most favourite thing about this show was the compere, whose voice was like pouring cream. I also quite enjoyed the comedians, who range in experience, but who all delivered a competent and confident set.

Those comedians are all researchers at universities, and their comedy is about that research. Within that, there were a variety of approaches, some explaining the research directly, some using their expertise to highlight phenomena for comedic purposes. This is intelligent comedy – you’re likely to learn something (I did) – in a really nice atmosphere (created, solely by that fab compere). There’s a different line-up of comedians every day, and they have badges.
