Juliette Burton is certainly a hard working comic in Edinburgh. As well as performing the traditional hour on stage she is usually found for many hours each day engaging with potential audience members…even if most don’t actually recognise her while she is chatting to them.

She has had a number of critically acclaimed Fringe shows, each one nurtured by this smiling and entertaining performer, she always has something to say that is well worth hearing, oh and of course she is funny as well.

A lot has happened in the last 12 months, relationship break up, death of an aunt, a dip into dating apps and another death, this time her long time therapist. Ms Burton she uses dates like gigs, about 15 minutes in she relates a story or two of her mental health issues, her farming family, audio books, social media and her ‘friends’ in her pocket.

Juliette likes labels that define one. Each are asked to give 5 words to define themselves prior to showtime and a selection are integrated into proceedings.

This show is of course beautifully written and flows neatly from topic to topic. She gets a multitude of laughs too so those boxes are ticked.

I would define this hour as not to be missed.
